Musical Language

My piano works are characterized by contemplative melodies that breathe with natural phrasing, supported by harmonies that bridge classical traditions and modern sensibilities. I often incorporate subtle electronic elements and thoughtfully crafted ambient textures that enhance rather than overshadow the piano's voice.

I draw inspiration from the atmospheric works of composers like Ludovico Einaudi, Max Richter, Ólafur Arnalds, and Nils Frahm, while maintaining a distinctive voice shaped by my classical foundation. Each composition emerges from a place of authentic emotional exploration, whether expressing melancholy, hope, nostalgia, or the quiet beauty found in everyday moments.

Personal Connection to Music

Music has been a transformative force in my life. From age six, I navigated the challenges of a severe speech impediment that traditional therapies couldn't resolve. Through an orthophonic method that drew on musical techniques, I discovered that the fluidity I found in musical expression gradually transferred to my speech, leading to complete fluency by age twenty.

Artistic Vision

As a neoclassical pianist and composer, I create intimate musical landscapes where traditional piano expressions meet contemporary sensibilities. My compositions explore the delicate balance between classical form and modern emotional resonance.

Before discovering music, I channeled my emotions into racing motocross bikes down hillsides always searching for a way to communicate what was inside.

The name Metanio reflects my creative process. Like the methane molecule but with an extra hydrogen atom, I exist in a state of beautiful instability. This creative chaos fuels my compositional process. Just as chemistry forms bonds to create new compounds, I forge musical connections to evoke pure emotion.

My journey began in 2004 when I first touched piano keys, and I haven't stopped since. And since then as well I can't stop talking!

My debut album "Wondering" was an exploration of the entire sonic spectrum, blending electronic and ambient elements. But after experimenting across genres, I felt called back to my first love the piano. I've invested deeply in developing my production and mixing skills to create a signature sound that's uniquely mine. Composition remains my driving passion.

In 2024 I was ready to release a true sound that I had in mind since a while with "Soft Clouds Over Water" and "A Place to Rest". Every piece is a careful balance of structure, timbre, and emotional resonance.

Through years of refinement, I've crafted a distinctive musical voice that truly expresses who I am.
